Clay Shoots
The GHSA run a series of clay shoots throughout the summer, starting on Good Friday. This is a good way to keep in touch with each other once the hunting season has ended.
The shoots are popular and have been running for many years and raise a good amount for the GHSA funds, which help in purchasing much needed equipment for the hunt.
We have a few different classes to enter, from the open to a novice, along with fillies and colts classes for the younger person. Each shoot counts towards a finals evening at the last shoot of the series.
The shoots are kindly sponsored by local business, such as Northampton Gun Co, R&K Stockcraft, Loughran Bros, Linnell Bros, Welton Clay Shooting Academy, Courteenhall Shooting Ground & William Powell; without their generous support we could not run these.
We always need help on the evening of the shoots, either scoring or trapping, no experience needed as we can teach you, we even feed you on the night!!
